Turnaround Management Association, Inc. ("TMA") is committed to protecting your privacy. We use the information we collect about you to improve your TMA website experience.  Please read on for more details about our privacy policy.

 
Use of Personal Information
TMA collects personally identifiable information, such as your e-mail address, name, home or work address, telephone number and, in some instances, credit card information (collectively, "Personal Information").  The primary purpose of collecting Personal Information is to:
 
i. operate the TMA website and deliver the services you have requested, including processing of membership and event registration payments;
i. inform you of other products or services available from TMA or from external business partners which whom TMA has established a business relationship; and
i. solicit your participation in research surveys conducted by or under the auspices of TMA analyzing the current business environment or potential new services that may be offered.
 
In some cases, your Personal Information may be shared with trusted third parties whom we have engaged to help us send you e-mail or postal mail, perform statistical analysis or provide member support services.  Such third parties are prohibited from using your personal information except to provide these services, and they are required to maintain the confidentiality of your Personal Information.  TMA does not sell, rent or lease its membership lists to third parties.

TMA maintains your Personal Information in a controlled, secure environment, protected from unauthorized access, use or disclosure. When your Personal Information is transmitted to or by TMA over the Internet, TMA uses Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) or similar technology to encrypt the information.  This means that no one else can read it while it is being transmitted over the Internet.
 
Record of Website Visits
To help insure a high quality user experience, TMA records which pages our members visit within the TMA website.  We collect this information for the sole purpose of analyzing how individuals use our website, determining which TMA services are the most popular and learning how to improve the user experience.

TMA regularly reviews its privacy policy to make sure that TMA continues to protect the privacy of its members and users of its website. The information collected by TMA or posted or uploaded by the members of TMA or its chapters may constitute "personal data" under the terms of the European Union Data Privacy Directive and the laws of the EU's member states (collectively, "EU Law"). TMA may "process" your personal data, as that term is understood under EU Law, and may transfer your personal data to countries that are not considered by the European Union and/or its member states to maintain adequate levels of protection for personal data.  Transfers of data may be made to other members of TMA, as well as to trusted third parties that TMA has engaged to help us send you e-mail or postal mail, perform statistical analysis or provide member support services.  By registering for the website and continuing to access it, you explicitly and unambiguously agree that (i) TMA may process and transfer your personal data as described above, and (ii) your personal data includes any additional information that you post or upload to the TMA website or the website of its chapters.
